Living in Harrison

Three distinct communities in one town

Harrison is unusual in Westchester: the Town and Village of Harrison share the same borders and one local government, but the community has three very different parts. Downtown Harrison centers on Halstead Avenue and the Metro-North station, West Harrison borders White Plains, and Purchase is a hamlet of large estates, corporate campuses and colleges.

That range gives buyers real choice, from condos and starter homes near the train to newer construction on wooded acre-plus lots in Purchase. Purchase is home to Purchase College (SUNY), Manhattanville University, and the headquarters of companies including PepsiCo and Mastercard.

Harrison sits right next to White Plains, where our office is, and it's one of the markets we work in most often. We know which streets are walkable to the train, which are zoned for larger lots and how prices differ between Harrison, West Harrison and Purchase.
